Position: Office Manager/Medical Assistant (Part Time, potential to move to Full Time as practice grows)

I am currently seeking a highly motivated and extremely organized individual to join me as my Office Manager/Medical Assistant.

​

Job Summary: As an Office Manager/Medical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the practice while providing essential medical support to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing administrative tasks, overseeing "front desk" operations, coordinating patient schedules, and assisting me in delivering exceptional patient care.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients, providing a warm and welcoming environment.

  • Schedule patient appointments, manage the appointment calendar 

  • Handle patient inquiries, both in-person and over the phone, with professionalism and empathy.

  • Maintain patient records and update electronic health records accurately.

  • Coordinate billing processes and process payments.

  • Oversee office inventory, order supplies, and ensure the office is well-stocked and organized.

  • Assist me and other healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.

  • Record patients' vital signs, height & weight and perform medication reconciliations and relay that information to me or other healthcare providers.

  • Under the direction of the physician, perform minor procedures such as phlebotomy.

  • Under the direction of the physician, perform various in-house laboratory testing.

  • Under the direction and supervision of the physician, dispense/administer medications.

  • Perform administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.

  • Collaborate with me and any future team members to develop and implement office policies and protocols.

  • Ensure compliance with CLIA and other relevant regulations.

  • Work proactively and enthusiastically with the me to optimize operations and continue to grow the practice.

  • Participate in occasional weekend PR events (booths, vaccine drives, etc.)

  • Miscellaneous other tasks as requested/required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as an office manager, medical assistant, CNA, EMT, or similar.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR), and medical billing.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and team members effectively.

  • Empathetic and caring demeanor, committed to providing exceptional patient care.

  • Proficient in computer skills.

  • Knowledge of social media is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Direct Primary Care and its principles is a plus.

  • CPR/BLS certification preferred.
